Nutrition Philosophy

Keep it Simple

You are complex and so is your relationship to food and your body. We value that complexity and believe that together, we can get back to what the basics for YOU are. The world is noisy - especially when it comes to food and body. Our goal in our work together is to help identify and simplify that noise and empower you to make decisions that feel simple and meaningful.

Intuitive Eating

Evidence-based, weight inclusive model including 10 principles that focus on integrating body and mind awareness. The intention behind this approach is to get in-tune with physical sensations that come from within your body to help get your needs met and to identify and navigate the barriers.

Health at Every Size

Health is independent of a number on the scale. HAES is rooted in improving access to care and how people are treated in healthcare services and everyday places and situations for people in all body shapes and sizes. The core principles include: weight-inclusivity, health enhancement, respectful care, eating for well-being, and life-enhancing movement

All Foods Fit

There are no “good and bad,” foods. It’s time to put food on an even playing field. Your body wants you to trust its abilities. It craves unconditional permission to eat any and all foods. This isn’t a thoughtless approach, but rather a practice built on awareness, individual preferences, behaviors, needs, and knowledge.

Your “Why” Matters

Your “WHY” is so important. Identifying your values is key to understanding what choices you make day to day and the motivation and intention behind those choices. Values have the ability to drive choices that result in more engaged living.
